top 3 places for outdoor family portrait sessions in St. Albert

Getting Family Portraits done is a big deal and can take a lot of planning. The location can either make or break your Family Portraits, and it may be hard to travel to that perfect destination. I have put together my Top 3 spots for Outdoor Family Portraits in St. Albert!

#3 ST. ALBERT HERITAGE BRIDGE

You can always go right with getting a portrait taken with history! The St. Albert Trestle bridge was constructed in 1907 and has been a famous landmark since. Located between St. Albert Place and the St. Albert Grain Elevators, this beautiful bridge is a perfect addition to anybody’s Family Portrait. It has easy access from the Red Willow trails; the best part is that it is free!

#2 RIVERLOT 56 NATURAL AREA

This natural area is a whopping eight km of intertwining trails that offer multiple locations for a great portrait setup. I can’t even count how many great locations there are in this natural area. It features spots for all types of portraits! Do you want pathways that create dynamic leading lines? Yep! Do you like Family Portraits in an open field with long wispy grass? You got it! Or do you want trees with low branches that create a natural bench you can pose on? Absolutely! Riverlot 56 is a beautiful area you can utilize all year round for your Family Portraits. Remember that it is a public place and that you should always share the pathways.

#1 ST. ALBERT BOTANIC PARK

The St. Albert Botanic Park is a beautiful five-acre piece of land with a wonderful assortment of trees, shrubs and perennials that would be a great background to your portraits. This Garden is open from sunrise to sunset, giving you endless opportunities to capture that perfect portrait. The large central fountain is a beautiful staple in the St. Albert Botanic Garden. I have used this as a backdrop in my images countless times, and it has never failed me. This is a trendy area (especially in the summertime), so I recommend you book a time for your photo shoot!
